So! I have been running into some problems with this map, it is crashing when it tries to load.
It is pretty much complete except for some weapon/item/spawnpoint placement.
Bottom line I am leaving for navy basic training in 2 days and i just dont have time to finish this. SO!!! I am going to just upload the .gob file as well as the .jkl and the master .tpl files. If anyone feels like trying to fix it that would be awesome otherwise feel free to scavenge whatever off this map or even use parts/all of it for your own map! just maybe give me a lil blurb in some credits or something. :)
It's Almost done!!! after I really have no idea how long i have been working on this thing, it is about 95% finished! i am really going to try and have it done this week!
Starting to figure out how to make nifty models and texture them with blender then import them into JK
Ok, i finally finished and uploaded the second part of the texture creating tutorial. this half deals mainly with the program Gimp, and adding highlights/scratches/colors to the texture rather than the structural part I went over in the first video with Blender.
So I had a few people ask if i could try and put together a tutorial on how i am putting together the textures i have been doing. so.... here is my first attempt. It covers the first portion of texture making, which is creating a "high poly" sculpt/model in Blender. It is really NOT as intimidating as it sounds. I am going to try and do the second half this week, which will cover working on the texture in Gimp.
went ahead an made a new elevator control panel, because i thought the default JK ones would look a little out of place.
It's based on the 00t_7.mat from JK
finished "the lounge" area. about 80% done with this map.
Tinkering with some JK/Mots textures.
So i actually started working on textures again! Beginning to figure out how to do hard surface textures.
My new favorite room in this map.
Finally have a bit more to show on this level. Still a little ways from being completed but its getting there! Next up is making a few more textures and 3do's to make it a little less monotonous...
Soooo... kind of figured i should seperate the "textures" project from the level that i am making with them.
Things are starting to come together! next up is reworking the floor!

Finished the door, made a light texture and a nifty 3do, and a floor texture!
I am endeavoring to create from scratch custom textures YET again!
After spending WAY too much time on them i have the first three finished. They are a basic green rather clean metal wall, a tileing trim of mostly the same color... and a nifty wall vent thingy!
Just a reminder! TODAY is the deadline for the massassi SP level contest. So far there have only been TWO(2) entries! we need at least four in order for the contest to proceed. :)

Am now 100% finished with architecture and texturing. Just need to finish with lighting and cog's.

So yesterday i was browsing the web for textures and i found this site: http://www.philipk.net
there are some amazing texture sets there for download and i emailed the owner asking if we can use them here for custom levels. he said yes :)

Just wanted to make something that is a bit of a departure from what usually do...

So i finally finished tying up loose end on this level and IT IS DONE!

mostly tweaking stuff ive already finished, changed the door MAT's and added a bit more lighting an such.
finally got JK to run on my computer! and so i started editing again... just trying to get the hang of ZED again. think its going ok.

My latest attempt at making a single player level with a strong story line.
it is set mostly n the planet of ord mantell.
started work on a subway car. if you jump on the tracks it will smash you to bits...
makin a quick mock up of a subway station.
ive found it very hard to find good industrial/grimey textures. so im workin on making my own, using stock photos from: http://www.cgtextures.com/

well, i have all the archi and texturing finished, all that is left is to finish the item placement (75% finished) and tweak the lighting some more...
