Time to Celebrate once again this now popular New Star Wars holiday, I for one will celebrate it somehow, may it be play some of my SW games or watch something of my Star Wars Blue-ray edition collector DVD set, or watch Family Guy Star Wars back to back and then SW Robot Chicken, or I might just keep working on my current Projects as usual..LOL!. Anyway May the Fourth be with you JK-Hubbers!!!
Well I guess I better fess up and tell the Hub that Im working on another new MP level but I already re-continued with My Dark Temple project but of course I have contracted the same intentions that some other JK editors do, start a project, work on it for a awhile and then come up with a brainstorm for another level and wind up putting previous project on back burner, but dont worry my Dark Temple project will be back after this one. I wont give too many spoilers out but I want to create a Gibbagibba like frustration when you play this one, and dammit Im going to finish this before spring time gets here..LOL!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone here at my favorite website called the JK-Hub. I thank you all for your friendship and your appreciation for my creativity. Merry Christmas Everyone.
I have to get this baby back on schedule again and I feel the dark side is calling me..heh heh heh! Hopefully in time for Halloween.
I dont know if this is really necessary and this actually was not intended to happen but I went back into my ONS files that I have in a so many different forms: Hard Drive, CD's, Flash Drives, uploaded on the web, I wanted to use some of my collected material for my current project 'Korriban' and I was thinking why dont I give ONS a Special Edition makeover like what Georgie did, but dont worry I dont have to make a big effort to show that "Kyle will shoot a Rhodian first" heh heh!. Im hoping that Gibbagobba can wait for a few more weeks till this is ready for his commentary and also for Stewie as well. I know that this was already released and played by a few but I feel that I need to do this, and I will also see if I can fix alot of errors, but I may need a little help with correcting some cogs, Im still not a cog savvy programmer. Im about half way done through the revamp project anyway and it will not take as long to change things with the last 2 levels as it did with the first 2 or 3.
Merry Christmas from Darth Dan to everyone here at the JK Hub!
I decided to make a little Christmas treat for the JK-Hub, but I wont show the finished product until Christmas Eve.
I figured I better place a decent screenshot of this...but anyway im not sure if this should be a DM or should I go further into it with effort and create a small SP level.
I could not resist, I have to create a project again. There is so much activity on the Hub lately that this drove me to whip up another level project. I actually had this in mind a few months ago anyway, but if any of you have seen my first MP level called the Temple of Terrentius that I released in winter 2006, this gave me an insight of recreating this level. So anyway I need to give Darth Alran a little credit in motivating me to up chuck another Sith Temple project, like he said there can never be too many Sith Temples.
So I guess I'll go ahead and post this tutorial here as well as Gibbagobba's thread for jkedit tutorials. I created a piece of information that I thought that would be helpful in case you want to use Jkedit and throw a couple of elevators in there. When using the automatic feature it might create havoc in critical errors if you already have a 'million' neatly wonderful cleaved and fancy carved sectors in an area. I found a better way to place them manually without interrupting the structure of your level. If anyone is curious from what software I used in the making its called Camtasia. Please excuse my unprofessional narration if you will , I get nervous when it comes time to record my voice.

I thought that since some JK members here have a miscellaneous project folder I considered in doing the same to. In doing so I found my first real saved JKedit level that I created about 11 years ago, its actually the 2nd or 3rd technically because the first two never made it past the beginning of exploring the world of editing JK. Its actually a good crappy comparison from what I made previously. I thought that this would be ok as a start for this Project.
So anyway I bring you Dans Pool and Bar, my first saved game level.
Happy Halloween from the Dark Temple of Terrentius
My friends I have returned after major breakthroughs of repairing my embarrassing errors in the game. I cant figure out why JKedit Multilevel editor would delete important custom files that I made. This time for sure It will launch, and hopefully with faith it will entertain you or frustrate you to the end. I pretty much beta tested the thing about 90% with gameplay and a thorough inspection of files in the editor. If I may say this again: My Friends I give you..

Sorry guys There is a temporary setback in the game. "error could not load level" I know what the problem is now it this should be ready here real soon I hope. My apologies.
After 3.5 years of pure JK frustration and creative enjoyment that uses both of the hemispheres of the brain I am finally ready to post this baby, but it has been a struggle for me lately to get this off the ground. The file is too large for upload here so you have to use this link below: and as soon as the admins of Massassi uploads its link it will also be accessible from there as well. I have also recently changed the title as well as you can see.
My friends I give you OPERATION NAR SHADDAA.

This is not my project and I have no idea how the hell I took possesion of, but Im stuck with it. To bad you cant delete a project that got pawned on you.
edit: and btw, there is nothing to download anyway even if I considered to make something of this guys little creation. It sounded like to me he wanted everyone in the whole community to create his stuff and he looks back and says I did this.
Get this damn thing out of here.
Happy New Years JK/SW fans
I wanted PJNS to be ready for New Years but I ran into another problem. It works and every thing but Jkedit is a piece of @#$%. The multilevel editor repeats the same objective text from level one to the next and the next right after with the same information. Its blowing my mind. I created three small muster levels with the primary cogs; goals.cog, start.cog and named them different from the other levels and to no avail I cannot win. So my friends I cannot win. My project is ready to rock but the objectives will be the same from level 1-9 and I tried everything, so this is what I get for using jkedit or Im not smart enough to troubleshoot this. If anyone here has a solution please let me know. The only option I have is to type all the Objectives in a Windows Note Pad to be printed out but that would suck and I am not a quitter. I need help with this please (Mysterious Sith) If you can.
edit: Ole Thomassen you suck and Im ashamed of you being the same Nationality of me.
but The mighty Project is still in one piece. I managed to fix the bug that was interfering with the launching of the level that begins right after the Intro, but I noticed that some things were missing. When I compiled all levels in the Multilevel editor, it returned some of the the cogs that were slightly altered back to their default or original scripting because some of the file names were not renamed. So now I am in the process of going from one cog to the next in the cog Files in "Level files" and renaming them and then recreating the cogs that pertain to the original function or effect. (Dammit!) So anyway I want to apologize to everyone here that was hoping to have this for Christmas. I wanted this to be ready on the 24th or 25th more than anything. Sorry Guys! But I think this should be ready next week, I tested each and every level in a Gob. file and Im going through this frontwards, backwards, upside and downsides until I know that this will be quality controlled. So anyway Merry Christmas everybody and lets see if this will be ready for New Years.
I am experiencing a delimma. I have been troubleshooting this problem for almost ten days now, and I cannot get this to work. All jk levels are ready to compile into a Multilevel project creator but I still get this: after the first cutscene level which is a hands free self made cutscene level it is supposed to transcend into the next playable level and I still get this goddamn message" ERROR CANNOT LOAD LEVEL" I have spent hours upon hours. The first Introduction level works, but not the second level. I am about to just to throw 3 and a half years of work into the f**ing toilet and I think this is what I get for using JKedit. I wanted this to be everyones Christmas Present but I guess not, so I guess my only alternative is to just upload all files individually in seperate gob files and just play them in sequence.....This f**ing situation really sucks. I apologize for my behavior but I am slightly frustrated. If anyone wants to help this idiot please let me know.
The last and final level and end cutscene is finally complete. I am presently beta testing each of all five levels and my own game is kicking my ass. I increased the health level and firepower of certain AI's and including Kyles health level was tweaked a little more using the template editor in jkedit with extreme care. Its been three and a half years since it all began when I came home from the Star Wars celebration convention in LA Calif. I actually spoke to one of the head people from Lucas Arts at a booth that they set up, and I explained to her about editing JK and mots and JO/JA. She didnt realize that there was level editors for those games. Anyway enough on that subject, but there are a few people that almost gave up waiting for my little project, and Im fixing up a few bugs and leaving a couple of small other ones that I cannot repair at all. Sooo...anyway This should be ready just in time for Christmas my friends.
Project Nar is still alive and well and is nearing completion, thats good because Im getting a little tired of this and its been going since 2007, but on the contrary I love editing JK. Im almost at the end of the last level, but Im having troubles trying to outfit a goals cog for the final goal, cause I suck at making my own cogs, but I can alter some of them for my advantage. I also want to thank Darth Alran again for letting me use his Textures.
I think I see light at the end of the tunnel for Project Nar, but its still unreachable because real life is really getting in the way. It looks like that the JK-Hub Community is slowing fading, but Im not going to despair despite, unless the Web site is eliminated. Im currently working on the final structure of the last level which has given its challenges. After this project Im going on a hiatus and later tinker with JK2 Raven software, and maybe,... maybe work on a small level with that.
The demo version my entry level is up for grabs, Download it now if you may. Its only a portion of Level_1 that I have released and I plan on tweaking a little more of the project, but not for to long. I also want to congratulate our Celebrity of MassassiTemple.net and his Blockbuster Project known as........TODOA. we'll never top that one.
Im trying to beat this ultimate deadline on the Massassi site for the upcoming level contest and putting more quality time in my so ever long awaited single player level project. I am on the last part of the story/level and I am sweating bullets to getting this project finally done. I am trying not to make it look to rushed, but I wish that I had a little more time to get this ready for the contest. This may be my chance but I think that there are a few other greater engineers than me. I dont care if I dont win first place, I just want to show the world what I have been doing for the last two years............better get that wiggle on like I've never wiggled before!
I am seeing the end of level 3 and then the last short finale. (end Level) Lets all hope so, cause I tested a duplicate of all levels and crunched it, still under 50 megs with winrar. 16 bits mat files are hungry little guys......Well going on two years now I think Im going to take a temporary retirement from JK when this is all said and done. While Im on my little retirement, Im going to convert to JED/ZED. JKedit is all not that bad, Its user friendly, but it has its limits and there are no plugins.
Still going, but very slowly. I cant give up yet because I put much time and effort in this, but the story is drawing nearer to the end....And a new screenie just for updates.
Im into Episode three of this single player project, and Im hoping that this is the last level of the mission. Single player Missions are tough if you plan it out and do it right, but its worth it. When its done Im going to temporarily retire from editing for awhile. I figured out a suitable ending for the story, and hopefully I can finish this in December.
Just out of curiosity, I had to post a couple screenies from level 1 that was magically under the influence of both Jedi Knight Enhanced and the Retexture Mods. Many Praises goes out to the authors that created those. I will stop teasing, and get back to work. Hopefully the last level wont take as long this time.
I decided to change the main title, because I thought the old sounded too generic. The saga is still going, but what was supposed to be a one level creation is now going into level three. I can only create so much, that it can upload under 50 megs, so far I measured under 25 megs in a compressed test file. " whew, 16-bits horde alot of room." Anyway after struggles with errors and other complications due to my perfectionism, I am still building this huge construction project in this little very known section of cyberspace. Estimated time of completion should be this year, I hope that there is still a jk hub community when I'm done this year, so lets keep on building everyone. I'll keep in touch.
p.s. these single player projects are a beeaach!
The project is still going, and I definetly make back up copies in a seperate file and on disk. I believe in Murphys Law. I cant give a defininte deadline for this project, but I suppose around the time when a Star Wars movie was released. May or June.
Just a shot from what is a camera view in a fully fledged cutscene between 2 levels, of course under construction. I was supposed to quit when I was ahead, but the story is still going. I hope that when I have completed this project that there is still a jkhub.net. I should be finished this late winter or early spring.
Just a greeting to the jkhub community, I am still working on the Nar Shadaa project. I almost gave up once or twice because of the expert editing of the other authors creations. I dont want to post any boring cheesy maps, but I think I should not give up. This project should be completed by the end of December. And I just wanted to congratulate the winner of the level contest. I have it downloaded right now.
After three long months with no computer, working out of state, and then making a visit to Germany to see the in-laws and my old Army base that is now closed down, I have returned. Now with a new machine (Intel 2.6 Duo Processor)
I managed to extract this project from my old corrupt hard drive along with a destroyed CPU or Motherboard. After a few frustrations and despair, I managed to extract the gob.file with a little help from a friend. That will show me what back-up copies are made for. I almost gave up on this creative but time consuming extravaganza called jk editing.
thinking That I should do someting else with this time. But Why not Game editing, I could otherwise be a real geek and create simulated city plannings. Any how on with the show.
The Machine that I am using that creates all of my jk editing projects has failed miserably. The Motherboard or CPU is defective in my PC. I just hope its not the hard drive. I was getting my new project off the ground and then this happened. There will be a long delay. I will have to find certain funds for purchasing a new computer, but the next one will have more capacity, and better performance. I'll be back.
Just another update or a brief example of what I have enginereed so far. I am giving the level a taste of the Nar Shaddaa effect, but I am also attempting to introduce some different textures. The Story line is still undecided, but there will hopefully be a destiny and a purpose according to the game play. So far this goes along from a level that I created 3 years ago.
I decided to start another project, after anticipating if I should create more of this so modifiable editing program. Its going to be A recreation of someting I made 3 years ago, that never got released. So if I dont get discouraged, and cancel this project I may get this launched. it may be a long time before I get finished. I just started this and went on a little journey to the Star Wars Celebration IV. I had a great time. My SW spirit is again enlightened.

The other Temple of Doom is complete, hopefully. I tinkered with it long enough, and I was afraid that I would ruin it. I tested it thoroughly and tried to eliminate alot of imperfections, but wishing that I could create something as good as some other authors creations I see on this site. I am open for any constructive criticism if you may.
The other Temple of Doom is almost complete. I would say about 95%.
I noticed in gameplay the framerate is just a little slow, but not for too much.
I used alot of 16-bit mats and some good old default mats. I tried to use a skybox that I retrieved from a download from the Massasi site. Excellent graphics, but I cannot stretch the image from horizon to horizon without showing the tiled seperation. If anyone has a clue, let me know. (btW) the under construction sign was created by me, just for kicks. It will be removed when the beta version is complete. I may lighten up a few areas where the shadows hide alot of the Architecture.
This is an Idea that I got from watching a documentary about an Archaelogical site in Jordan called Petra. But I didnt create Greek Corinthian Architecture. The Level is a multiplayer that will be a few days before its completed, but not for too long. The Map is actually a canyon on the Planet of Korriban (Star Wars Expanded Universe) which is strong on the Dark Side.
