I just can't seem to break away from this game. It's like cigarettes. I can quit for several months or years but when I see someone smoking, I'd like to fire one up myself.
There's obviously a mixture of 8 & 16-bit textures & 0 lighting at this point, but that'll all change, eventually. I tend to focus more on the architecture first.
Oh, this is currently a Deathmatch map, but I may convert the entire thing or just bits & pieces to a Capture The Flag map as well.
This is a deathmatch map that I released in 2000. It was designed for fast & furious gameplay. The ammunition & weapons are strategically placed so that all players will be forced to move around continuously.
This is a deathmatch map that I released back in 2000. It was designed with level 8 force powers in mind. Specifically 4 stars on both Force Jump & Force Speed. The focus is on 1 versus 1 gameplay. It's obviously not much to look at, but give it a shot, you may be surprised at just how much fun it is.
Thanks to the JK Retexture Project, the level is now sporting some nifty 16-bit JK textures (not 100% decided on whether or not they'll stay). I also added a bridge to the main room, which may or may not eventually have handrails. I have yet to mess with lighting.
I have been inspired by Jedi Knight Enhanced, Jedi Knight Launcher, the Unofficial Jedi Knight Patch, and various other projects, to take another stab at editing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and possibly even Jedi Knight: Mysteries Of The Sith.
Triangular (DM) is obviously in the earliest of stages, so please don't judge the map by the textures and lighting at this point in time. Feel free to offer constructive criticism. I'm looking forward to being a part of this editing community again and I hope that others will be inspired by my upcoming projects, as I have with the projects of others.
