This is my project for the Massassi Anniversary Contest. In this project you will play as Col Serra (a smuggler developed for the video game Battlefront: Renegade Squadron) as you attempt to thwart the Empire's latest super weapon development.. The Conqueror. Such environments include Naboo, Mustrafar, a pirate blockade runner and an Imperial Stardestroyer. I have another person working with me on the level design in an attempt to get this project finished by the deadline. Check it out!
All that's left is beta testing.. then this thing will be released :D

A couple new screenies..
After a few months of nothing.. I've finally got around to finishing this. I was getting frustrated with actors not obeying my cog commands and such but I ended up splitting level 2 into two levels and that seemed to fix the problem. The final cutscene is almost done and then I need to add a few areas to level 3 as well as fix the bugs with level 1. After that it will be time to beta test. Expect new screens and possibly a trailer shortly...
I need some people to lend me their voices and do a little voice acting so I can finish up the first chapter of The Dark Tome. If your interested, check out this thread at the Massassi Temple..
It has been a while since I've had an update. The architecture for level 2 is almost done. I'm working on the last area now. Then all that's left is the cutscenes for level 2.. which will probably take a while. The final sequence is going to take a lot of work, but if I can pull off what I have in my mind, it's going to be awesome. Anyways, here is a new screenie...

It's been a while since I've done an update for The Dark Tome so here is a new screenshot. I'll hopefully be tying up the loose ends here soon and getting this thing finished up.
After a long semester in school and the summer now in full swing, I have some time to finish up chapter one of my Dark Tome project. I've got a whole slew of new screenies so be sure to check em out.
Level 2 is progressing quite nicely. At the rate I'm going, hopefully I can have this thing finished with in the month. Although with college starting back in a few days, my edit time will be a lot more limited.
The final version of my contest entry has been uploaded. Of course, feedback is always welcome. Now its time to finish up level 2 so I can get a completed version of this thing uploaded sometime in the next month or two.
So I've uploaded a beta version of my contest entry and would like for anyone whole wants to go ahead and run through and tell me what problems you might have or things I need to fix.
Things I'm already aware of are:
-Translucent Crystal 3do's cause some minor HOM.
-A few 3do's flicker because they are in mulitple sectors.
And I also want to note that Im still working on the new menus. Those ones are not final lol.

Well I had been having some computer troubles but not that I have a temporary fix.. here are some updated screenies.
Level 1 is almost done... 2 cutscenes and 1 area are all that remain. Level 1 will be the only thing I submit for the contest. Chapter 1 will contain 2 levels and I will try to finish up level 2 as quickly as possible after the contest.
So I've begun to light my level. Im using dynamic lights for inside areas and large outside areas (seems to be working good so far) and then using just normal lighting to light areas in the caves and such. I'm pretty satisfied with the results so far. Level 1 is about 85% complete out of a planned 2 levels probably.
I've made a little more progress. Check out the screenies. I played around with some fog (not in screenies) but I dont know that I like it very much.
I've made some progress on what is to be my entry for the editing contest. It's a MotS Singleplayer Level. I'm going through and completely doing the architecture first, then going back and cogging/scripting and lighting will probably be the very last thing I do (as it is very time consuming).

That area took forever.. had to redo it like 5 billion times before I got it the way I wanted it.. error free.
Whew.. havent worked on this project in a bit. I've decided to continue with this project.. but take it in a different direction.. here is a new teaser screenie.
I've made quite a bit of progress on the first level for this campaign. Depending on how much time I have will determine whether just this level will be released for the contest or the whole campaign.

Keith Marshall and I have started on this MotS Single Player campaign which, I must say, is our most ambitious project yet. Now all I need to do is get a copy of MotS so I dont have to test in JK.
