releasing something

Well, I don't think I'm gonna finish this unless I get really super motivated...
So I decided to upload what I've got so far.
The end of the level doesn't make sense and I'm too lazy to fix it.
Comments are appreciated.

Racing to get it done...

cuz I only have a two more weeks, then school starts. I really want to get as much done as I can before I get slowed down by homework, soccer, band, etc.
Still not sure what I'm going to do for the monster models. I did make a model awhile ago, but it's very low poly and I still haven't textured it. And then there's keys...oh boy.
I'm also getting slowed down by certain cogs that I need to work, which I've posted in the forums about but nobodies answered...
To be honest, I don't think I'll be able to get this in time, but I'll try. I'll be gone this weekend, but will get right back to it on monday.

still alive...

Cleaving + texturing + lighting + cogging = a lot of work. I'm working on the architecture right now, one room at a time.
Thanks to darthslaw the monsters now leap just like they are using the Leap ai function from MOTS. And it's bugless so far. :)

Demo released

Ok, nobody said anything so I'm just going to upload the demo despite the fact that it's not what I'd want it to be.
There are two main things that I'm still going to add to this part:

1-Monster models. I'm using reeyees covered with black for now. THAT WILL CHANGE.

2-An intro Cutscene.

3-And I'm going to redo much of the architecture.

Try it out and tell me what you think, good or bad. I need feedback from you guys!

*Note: Much of the enemys sponing is random so play the level more than once to appreciate that.

hmm...

I've run into something that is probably very common in JK editors. The architecture and texturing from the beginning of my level compared to the end of my level is so VERY simple. So I'm probably gonna redo the first parts of my map.
I'm trying to decide wether or not to do this before I release the demo...if I decide to, it will prolong the release by many weeks. If I release it now, then most of the playable area will be not be very well done.
I'd like some feedback: Do people want me to improve this before I put the demo out or put it out as it is?

Progress stopped for a while

As I started up my computer this morning, I heard the fan getting louder and louder until I thought it was gonna explode. It didn't explode though, but it does that everytime I turn it on and doesn't load windows. I did some research and narrowed it down to something with my motherboard. An aquaintance of mine, is taking it to one of his friends that might be able to replace it for a good price.
Anyways, I won't have my computer for a couple weeks. Thank God it wasn't my hard drive that was wrong.

New Kind of Gameplay

I'm using a kind of gameplay different from most SP levels where almost all of the enemies are spawned at random times in random places(to a certain extent). This will increase the replay value because each time you play the level, the enemies are in different spots, and hopefully it will be scary even after you play it many times. I know this isn't a new idea, but it's rarely used and I think it will make the level much more successful.
I'm hoping to get a beta version out soon, but much work still needs to be done for the level to be somewhat play-through-able.
