Hi, I FINALLY got Jedi Knight to work on my new laptop, so I decided to get JkEdit going. But then I get a message that says, "Cannot find Jedi Knight Resource files.". I figured this is because I put JK in the Program Files (x86) folder so I moved it to the Program Files folder in a new folder called LucasArts. This still didn't work. So I reinstalled JkEdit to the Program Files folder. Still nothing. Can anybody please tell me how to get it to work?

Try installing the editor in the Lucasarts file. Make sure you have the jedi knight cd in your rwdrive. Try open the editor. If it doesīnt work, switch to mots edit in select and then back to jedi knight again. If that doesīnt work, try starting the jedi knight game once and then go back and try opening the editor again.

Hmm, ok. Take a look in you jedi knight resource file and make sure that both Res1hi.gob and RES2.gob is there. If not, copy the missing one from your cd to the jedi knight resource file on your harddisk. Do you have Mots installed also? If not, install it and try that one.

nonono. the whole data is on the hard drive. im running windows 7 and cant run the game on the cd in the first place. it might be because the data has to be in Program Files (x86), but it cant be because i tried it in the normal Program Files

Ok. I know that many people, icluding myself, is having problem running jedi knight on windows 7, so I donīt know if it has to do with that, or the fact that youīre using a laptop. But you obviously can run the game on your computer so it shouldīnt have to be there that the problem lies. Iīve noticed that when I start up jkedit I often have to switch several times between jedi knigth resource files and mots resource files in the select option before jkedit actually findīs the games resource files. Have you tried putting the jkedit folder in your jedi knight folder, I mean in the jk folder itself, not just the Lucasarts folder?

Strange. You did have mots installed I presume? Guess there may be only two options here: Either try zed or do the editing on another computer. But donīt give up.
