Hmmm. Yeah but now that you mention it this could be the it. I had some problems with my video card (GF2MX)... for some reasons it makes the textures look pixelised. The shot you see is with 3da turned on. It worked fine so far, just the thexture thing.

Looks to me like your still running in 8bit.

How's the hilt look? Type slowmo 1 in the command console and swing and get me a screenshot.

If it looks proper (a.k.a not full of random colors - it should look like quigons lightsaber), then somethings wrong with your video card.

You might try running JK with the -displayconfig command option, and tinker with some of the advanced display settings to see if anything helps.

Assuming, of course, that you haven't already done so and that it could have some bearing on what is going on -- I wouldn't know for sure, though, seeing as I'm no expert.

I tried the -displayconfig thing but those options dont help in annything.

after looking at that screen, i had that problem when i was running this mod in multiplayer. but it only looked like that when put against bright sky boxes. i'll have to check it against some others just in case but it never did look like that in closed in areas in single player mode. hmmmmmm Neutral

Also, if the hilt looks fine, it has to be your video card. Because that hilt is 16bit.

see how in the screenshot you have the cross type light around the core the blade. thats what i'm saying. mine didn't do that like his did. it only showed up like that for me in a blue sky box on a multiplayer level, when mine was against a background like his, it was fine.

Someone more experienced will no doubt correct me after saying this, but that's a problem with the way JK handles overlapping translucencies (The problem being that it doesn't handle them. At all.)
It's not just you... This is simply a fact of life that all JK enthusiasts must accept, at least until somebody is able to fix it with an unofficial patch.

I can't tell you what Zwier Zak's problem is, though. Sorry.

I have a question. Is there a away to put all the saber colors into 1 gob file so when you fight different Dark jedi all their updated blades are ingame? That way you don't have to place all the color files in the JKE folder. I also noticed last night that yun is the only blade that shows updated when i play story mode. This is odd to me because I don't have the yellow blade file in the JKE folder. Another issue I came across was after you defeat Yun, and then you start the next level you fight 2 storm troopers and another imperial guard. When I tried using the saber they would not die. No matter how many times I hit them with the blade they would not die. This seems to be the only place where I have noticed a problem with fighting

1. None of the Dark Jedi have the saber updated, besides Yun.

2. You have to deselect the lightsaber, and reselect it before attacking people on level 8. The damages aren't loaded on level startup with the mod.

3. Every resource file is inside of the Glowsaber core gob. The only thing contained in the color gobs are player cogs, which define which saber is used.

The colors are in Glowsaber Core. The weapon hilts, are inside of quigon-hilt. hence the name.
