I love the actual glow you have on the sabers, but my only request is to make the white 'core' of the saber thinner. Right now it looks much too thick imo.

Here is a very good shot to give a great example of how it should be. [/img]

I've been using various references, mainly Ep3, and although the glow is tweaked to perfection, I haven't lined up the core with the saber handle in-game. If you look at the various pictures, the core width is determined by the width of the handle:

Core is handle, handle is core. Windu has a smaller core because of his handle.

I'll post some screens when I have it all yummy'd up.

[I should probably mention that the handle is seperate from the core/glow. The latest picture shows what I mean by not having it lined up.]

What about "trails" as you swing them? Are you going to do that?
Does the glow currently stay lined up with the core when you swing it?

Trails are definatly a go, once I perfect the 'look at camera' portion of my code. It uses the same concept as the new TDiR flat beams did, where it yaws towards the camera.

However I noticed something I don't like. Say the saber is pitched straight out and you're looking at it, you can tell the glow is flat. I should have made it half a cylinder wrapped around the core so that you wouldn't be able to tell. After the many hours I spent getting the glow on the top of the blade looking right, I don't feel like tackling that right now.

I'm not sure this will be too great a problem. Even the JO and JA sabers appear flat if you hit them at the right angle.
