nice work so far but what map is that in the latest SS and where can i get it? it looks like lots of fun!

It's called Skycity (Day 14) by JAS_Palidori.

Up until a few days ago I was the only person left with a copy, even pali himself lost it. I gave it to zeq to backup, he might be able to get it to you

I don't have any means of uploading it, sorry. But as soon as I conctact palidori, I'll get him to upload it to his website.

ohhh man, i just tried the JAS site but the link for the map is broken... i sure hope he lets you upload it. it looks really awesome

And yes, by all means, you have my permission to upload it, or how else will i be able to download my own level?

yeh, i lost this level and so many other early levels quite some years ago.
Glad someone still had a copy of it. Just for old times sake, id like to play through it again.

As for my 'site'; ( the old JAS Site ), I may not actually have access to it; my ISP provider used a 3rd party program that i used to FTP and have access to my site. That 3rd party software was initially Free, but now wants to charge for its usage. Bah, im not paying. =P
So, whatever is on that site, is " as is ". ( so yeh, alot of old, unused and dead links ).

Xzero, sorry to leave suddenly that one night, working on that level...i got called in to work ( and yup, i was just as upset/shocked as u were )

I got some more city ideas, only conceptual right now, after playing a PS game that had a great city level in it. " San andreas " ?

Anyways, yeh, go ahead an upload skycity...not sure how far along that versoin was that u have.

( I must not have heard of " Lighting " back then, lol. I could do so much better nowadays; and those run-on textures, ...phew )

Hehe it's okay, I didn't mind waiting.

I have Day 14, so, I think it's when you first started the hotel. Either way, I'll upload it soon... as soon as I get my PC back up! >.< (I'm using my dad's PC.)

For some reason, my system locks up and hangs as soon as the disk check is over. It's a real pain, and I have no idea how to fix it besides reformat my main drive.

Oh by the way, I really think you should work on JAS_Kessel. I love that level and the structure is fantastic, it just lacks a bit of lighting (lol like you said xD) and maybe a bit of work up in the docking area with the ships and crates

Sadly, there is nothing there worth joining.

JAS_Palidori, you can probably use any FTP program to access your site. Try using FileZilla, which is free. If you need help with it, you know where to find me.

Im sorry Zeq but what do you mean there is nothing there? You walked into a conversation at the wrong time... incase you didnt notice JKLE has taken over JKDF2.net and we offered to host the JAS site and forums on there instead of using free site... so maybe next time you should stay out of converstions that dont include you

In case I didn't notice? Yes, I saw the news post on jkdf2.net. Vallo even contacted me about the change *before* the news post, and I offered my assistance. If it will be run by the likes of people like you (who can't write coherent sentences, spell correctly, or even act mature), then I will probably not help.

In case you haven't noticed, both the jkdf2.net and JKLE web sites haven't been updated in months. The most recent forum posts are either spam, a bunch of discussions about how cool the Zone was, or who the greatest player was back in 1997. Like I said, nothing of any worth.

You posted on a public forum; that makes it a conversation that includes me.

ever since our last converstion on IRC remeber? All i did was ask a simple question to someone NOT YOU and you attacked me for no reason what so ever..

maybe you dont but ive tried to let it go but some people i guess dont like to let things go... I really dont know what your problem is but I really wish this "issue" you have with me would end its really starting to get fustrating. Seriously our plan was to get all of the JK community togeather on one spot, all clans and players on one website. There really is no need for this fighting. You offered your help and I would appreciate if we can put all of this behind us. Do you want an apology from me for asking a question to someone else? then fine Im sorry for not knowing what a level was on the hub.

But seriously we dont need fighting like this its gonna break the JK community apart. And there is no reason to criticize each other cuase we have the same goal.... to keep JK alive

yes the site hasnt been updated lately but thats cause we are working on more important things like a MotS dedicated server. There is more going on behind the scenes

hmm... it looks like this conversation went to hell... idk what's going on between you two, but you guys need to chill out!
in a sence i'd say Zeq is right about there's nothing worth joining... for a while now, i thought of jkdf2.net as the place where ppl would get together to [censored] about each other and all the kind of things that Zeq mentioned... but i think the JKLE guys have good intentions for it (just like Ret and HooyerD), and that's why i decided to help out in any way i can...
i think if all of us try to help out we can turn jkdf2.net into something a little more attractive for everyone... but not with this attitude (which sadly, reminds me of some ppl down at jkdf2.net...)

on the other hand, i agree with Andrew about something, i think if we put some work on jkdf2.net, it could become a very usefull place to help keeping the JK community alive...
so, for now, i'm trying to keep the spam under control... and i'll try to help out more in the future... and i'm sure there's some of you guys which could do much more than i could... help updating it with interesting stuff, adding new features, etc, etc, to make it a better place than what it is right now...

idk... i guess my sugestion to you guys is, if you care to do something better from jkdf2.net (or with the JK community in any way), you should stop making up arguments out from nowhere... i don't see a reason why this whole thing went down this road... but i know both of you and i wouldn't like to see you guys fighting just because... specially when we could all be working together
