Is there any way to move the centerpoint of a placed object? When I make an asymmetrical door for an asymmetrical hallway, I want to be able to put the centerpoint somewhere manageable so I can actually line the door up properly.

It's rather easy if you're using ZED. First, you need to have the 3DO open in ZED, ready to be exported.

Create a new sector and drag its surfaces to the same point so it becomes a dot. At this point you could name the Layer of the sector as 'CENTER' or 'DOT' or something as descriptive. Select all the surfaces of the sector and apply a fully transparent MAT as their texture. Move the dot sector to the part of the model where you want the center to be. Select all the sectors and make sure that 'CENTER' (or 'DOT', whatever you named it) is the active sector (so that it appears on the 'Sector' properties window). Now export the 3DO file.

And when you load the 3DO as a thing, the part where you put the sector named 'CENTER' should be the center point of the thing. I figured this out only in the later stages of TODOA and it worked like a charm in the 95% 3DO areas.

I'm afraid that didn't work on my end. What does work, however, once exported and the Heirarchi set, I just re-import it into ZED, move the sectors, then re-export, and now the model is offset.
Alternatively you can open the 3DO and mess with the "Insert Offset" property (though not sure how much that shows in ZED), or use 3DO Converter to give it an offset (or re-center it).

You see, when you create a 3DO from scratch in ZED and export it, it will auto-center the 3DO according to the sector you have selected (orange in multiselect) and give it a new Hierarchi set that is center (all values (0/0/0)).
