I never knew JKPatcher would be the cause of ressurection for this fantastic mod/level.

ScreamMP really needed JKPatcher to realise its full potential. It's a great program and I hope we'll see some more cog verbs and stuff in the future.

One thing I did notice was that I hit some kind of "active thing" limit at around 700 things. I had originally put 8 little light coronas on every single chandelier in the house to really show off the extended thing limit, but then some of the doors with thing numbers over 700 stopped working (they showed up, but couldn't be opened) so I had to remove the coronas. Don't know if you or Sige would know why this happens.

There is an 'active cog per thing' type limit, probably 640.

If I can meander my way through some memory stuff, I'll see what I can do. No promises though, Sige is the expert at this. Hopefully he'll come out of the shadows again and grace us with newer/fixed stuff.

I've got the source to the cogext.dll, but there's some major things lacking. Like predefined functions to access the various variable arrays (thing, surface, 3do, etc) and the like. Once we get some of these functions in, it'll be cake to add new amazingly fantastic cog verbs, like SetMaterialCelThing() to OpenPort()

Could you try to explain what you mean by "active cog per thing limit" a little bit more HR?

This is the same problem with the thing limit remover that made me stop work on Attack on Theed, after I was so uplifted because I thought that it would enable me to complete it.

It's hard to say. It's like what we know about class cogs: "one cog to control them all" isn't true after all. As if JK loads that class cog X number of times.

It's more than likely 640, to coincide with the thing limit.

What about manually raising the total thing limit from 640 to, say, 1000 in the JKL. Could that help maybe?

NOFpuXnk: Can you let me know where it crashed please, and your CPU / memory / graphics card? I've tested it on about 5 computers with no crashes at all.

yeah i remember the name from a long ago time..
i just went through the masssassi levels and now i recognize his screens.. there was a massassi screen of the day a while ago with his sequel i beleive...

I restarted the ole pc
os[Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2 (5.1 - 2600)] cpu[2-Intel Pentium 4, 2992MHz, 1024KB (0% Load)] mem 759MB

went through your level again and it didnt crash at all.
there may have been a couple other small problems..
i got stuck in ur pc camera.
and after a while i lost my ability to move my torso
could just be my pc.

still... best tc ever.

I also currently have level of the week (although it's been there months, but I'm not complaining ) on Massassi with The New Empire Special Edition.

Are you sure it got stuck on the camera system? You have to use the JK inventory system to change camera, turn on the infra-red filter, and stop using the cameras. If you didn't know that, you might have thought it had crashed

No idea about what caused the torso thing!

Cool! Not sure if it's worth putting the coronas back in and rereleasing... If I ever get that new reflection method to look good I might consider it.

alls i know is that water is trippy [censored].. took beef and i 10 minutes to open up the gob and figgure out how u did it...
amasing effect with the reflection off the archi...

i would say most definatly try the coronas.. uve got this effect down.. if u can do it on a small scale like that it would be elite..

could u do a really large scale.. like say a golden sidewalk? or dude dude dude palm trees n a sunset

BAD HR, BAD!

I'm just so buuuuuuuuuusy with life, the wife, the puppy, eating, cogging, my dad, getting angry, venting, going to the bathroom, driving, shopping and playing BF2 to take my mind off things, oh wait, there we go, replace BF2 time with JK Mods!
