It seems like many of the MotS verbs wouldn't take to much to add. SetThingParent(), GetSectorAtPos() and maybe GetThingGUID() would all be really handy and don't see like a tall order.
Does anyone have any thoughts on collison detection, specifically:
a) Any solutions to the exploding projectiles when moving quickly, crossing adjoins, and colliding with 3dos. (That old bug)
b) Face collision on the player...specifically being able to tell right where they got hit on the model. This would be handy for area specific damage.
Also...we all know JKs netcode leaves something to be desired.
I don't know what would be involved with these, or whether they're even possible through the patcher. I was just curious if you guys had any thoughts on the matter. I realize this may be well out of the scope of what you're trying to do.
