This chapter covered the basic syntax of a cog file and the basic things you need to know to write your own cogs. The first and second chapters can get you from a beginner's level to a level that's ready to use the rest of this reference.

This is the end of the beginner's section of this tutorial. You can continue to Chapter 3 now, or go ahead with a few small projects first. Either way, you should come back to Chapter 3 after you've tried a few projects.
